Key Groupiehead team members...
Owner / President
Groupiehead is owned and operated by Mark Rose. Mark has been working for clients in Albany Capital District for 20+ years. In 2008, Mark headed out on his own to form Groupiehead!
“I wanted to be a company that helped the little guy. It was very common to come across small businesses that had been charged far too much for inferior work. I knew I could give clients better work and charge than other firms were charging them. I wanted to be a company that clients could call on for help and be confident that we'd have a solution for them at a very fair price. I’m proud Groupiehead is
Mark is also the author of Small Business Guide to Self-Marketing. “I’ve had many clients come to me for help, only to find that if they had understood a few simple things, they could have saved hundreds of dollars and/or had better solutions to their problems. I decided to put something together to help all those people out there working hard and doing things on their own.”
In his spare time, Mark played in several successful bands. Most notably, Mark was the founding member and co-owner of the band, Ten Year Vamp. Ten Year Vamp has opened for 50+ well-known national acts, including Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, Lifehouse, Eddie Money, Nickelback, and more. Social Media Manager
Joe is the first full time employee at Groupiehead. He currently helps clients manage their social media accounts on a day-today basis. Joe has been in the Public Relations and Marketing fields since 2016 when he worked at a small firm in Fort Lauderdale while finishing his degree at Florida International University, in Miami. Joe is originally from the Albany area and previously worked at CapCom FCU for over five years in member services.
Joe has had an affinity for small businesses for most of his life as his father, Matt Scarchilli, owned and operated SportSignup in Saratoga. “I have always liked the idea of owning a business and saw the way a small business is run from the time I was just a kid. It’s all about connecting with people, and being a part of the community. I’m excited to be at Groupiehead where I can learn a lot from our clients. Helping small businesses grow is an exciting proposition.”
Joe also likes to write. He has his own website that he designed where he writes in his free time. He loves blogging for clients... and especially the sound of his fingers hitting the keys when everything is flowing. He has written for many Groupiehead clients including restaurant and service clients.
In his spare time, Joe is a frequent concert goer and has been to over 200 shows. Although he doesn’t play an instrument, he writes reviews about shows he’s seen, and the albums he loves. Joe's musical knowledge, across a wide array of genres, is quite expansive.
